Hi Brian, just had to say this is a spectacular view of a spectacular sunset. Only God has the means and talent to create such a wonderous palate of natures beauty and colors. GREAT WORK
Thank you for your work. So many of your photos are of places new to me yet bring a sense of what was once familiar. Most of the places I knew and loved so well as a boy are long gone now. Your pictures stir happy memories of people and places I loved so much. ‘…take me home, country roads, to the place where I belong…’
Brian, I have been enjoying your photos for some time, these are the things that seem to want to tell us their stories, and I enjoy just thinking about what they might say.
good morning Brian, thank you for these enriching patrimonials and more…Benhill and Fitzgerald is familiar from some visits on a remote farm deep inside of a fast growing pine forest (georgia pacific paper company)…i used to travel south from atlanta going through perry doing some shopping in fitzgerald and then onto to this remote farm and staying a farmhouse built on stilts because of some swampy grounds and in my perception also at a safe distance from the rattle snakes…the dried out
skulls of some of this snakes were left on the fireplace of this farmhous…
coming from fitzgerald i travelled along this dusty dirt road to the farm when a most patient and “civilized” pig stood there, as if waiting for me…I stepped out and recognized it was indeed a “domesticated” pig with
“social” and communicative qualities…after some pleasant interaction with the pig I opened the sidedoor of my VW bus and invited the pig to come along for the ride to the farmhouse…where some wonderful and kind black custodian couple greated me and the pig in amazement…they suggested, that i report this “encounter” with the Fitzgerald police in order to locate its
rightful owner…as the owner was not found i began to “groom” the pig with
shampooing and scrubbing with a large pine cone…and building a small
outdoors pig pen and departed sunday evening for atlanta with plans to return on the following weekend…by then the owner had contacted the Fitzgerald police and arrangements were made to have him come on sunday afternoon to pick up his pig pet…the owner brought me a medium sized jar of moonshine and thanked the couple and me for the hospitality
and “humanity” shown…your photos bring these and other memories to mind, thank you, andrew herold
