St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Jesup

Thanks to Mary Lou Drury of the Wayne County Historical Society for the identification. She notes that it’s the oldest standing church building in Wayne County. Thanks also to Larry Westberry and Kathy Powell for noting that it has also served as a United Pentecostal and other churches throughout its history.

This is the old Episcopal Church. Oldest Jesup building used as a church. It is no longer a church but used for weddings & other events We have several beautiful old homes in Jesup. One is the Carter house located at 311South Wayne Street. It was completed in 1901 or 1902. Another is the Whaley house built in the 1860’s located at 274 south West Broad. Would love to have you come to our Historical society. I’d be glad to show you around for pics. Mary Lou Drury 427 6545
