Sadly, Culverton Methodist Church was deconsecrated in August 2016. The North Georgia Conference will be deciding on the fate of the building and contents. There were only 2 or 3 members left – not enough to sustain her.

Do you know anything about the Sparta Campground 3 miles south of Sparta which ended about 1867 when the land was sold. Supposedly after that a campground was started in Culverton. Not sure if this pretty church was an outgrowth of the campground. Can you help with my questions? Thank you.
