Organized near Penfield and first known as Town Creek, Shiloh traces its roots to around 1795. The date when the congregation moved to this location, near Greensboro, is unclear. One of the earlier chapels was destroyed by a tornado in the 1850s. The present church likely dates to the last quarter of the 19th century.

Do you happen to have church records going back to 1801? I’m trying to find a relative. I’m not sure if he attended the Baptist church at that time. Leny Broom was his name.
Thanks
HI Patty. I’m looking for the same so if you find them please let me know. I have found that a single record book which was posted to familysearch for years 1839 to 1859 but no others. The link for this record can be found here – https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C34J-3QKK?i=23&cat=193117 . I hope this helps,
Keith.
