My family rented this house in 1967. Lived there for several years. My father Martin Taulbee was a school teacher.
It’s still hanging on, Patti. It appeared someone was doing a restoration a year or so ago, but I haven’t seen any progress lately.
I plan on being in Ludowici late September. I will be happy to see it. Haven’t been in Ludowici for 55 yrs. I know a lot has changed.
This home was owned by the Smiley Family and used as a rental property for many years. My family were its last residents, living there from 1992-1996. It has been abandoned since. I walk by it every time I’m in town. The porch was added around 1994.
