Originally built by Americus pioneer Seth Kellum Taylor, the house was left to Taylor’s daughter Lucy and her husband, Mayor John B. Felder. First built in the Italianate style, it was remodeled to its present Classical Revival appearance by Frank Lanier in 1907.

My Aunt Mary was best friends with Betty Lanier. My mother went to school with Betty in the 40’s and my father was friends with Mr. Lanier, Betty’s father. My father and Mr. Lanier always spoke and discussed World War II.

Is this house on Lee St.? If so, in the 1950’s this house belonged to the Lott’s. I grew up and went to school in Americus.
