Hendrix Farmhouse, Candler County

A classic two-story white house with a gray roof, featuring a front porch supported by columns and red shutters on the windows.

I believe this was built as a Plantation Plain and was later modified to its present appearance. It’s a beautiful old home and is the centerpiece of the Hendrix Farm, whose produce and Vidalia Onions are well-loved in the area.

HI BRIAN, GREAT PHOTOS AS ALWAYS. THIS DESIGN IN OUR OLDER COUNTRY HOMES IS A PARTICULAR FAVORITE OF MINE. CLEAN-ELEGANT LINES & DOUBLE-PORCHES—- VERY NICE!! KEEP UP YOUR OUTSTANDING WORK.

Always glad to hear from you Wendell…I agree. How we got away from this kind of building is a story of maximizing profit and meeting bare standards. They just don’t build ’em like this anymore.
