Have been in many Primitive Baptist Churches, my mother being of that persuasion. Don’t know if I have ever seek a padded bench in one of these churches. May be the reason known as “Hardshell.” –Elliott Brack, Norcross.

It’s unusual to have the two side entrances I think. I have photographed many churches myself and have not seen one like this. Do you know why there are two entrances on the side? Also, what is on the marker between the two doors? Thanks!

Actually, MOST Primitive Baptist churches in this part of Georgia have two side doors. I can’t recall the reason at the moment. The marker has the name and date of the church establishment.
