After having fallen into disrepair for many years, including the loss of its tower, this depot was recently restored and is now home to the Walker County Regional Heritage and Train Museum.

Magnificent!! Reinforcing my observation that in many small southern towns that are not county seats (no courthouse) the 3 most architecturally significant building were the Methodist church, the Baptist church and the depot.
