According to comments, this was once the Jackson First Baptist Church. It was built in 1914 to replace the previous wooden church building which was built in 1890 on the adjacent lot and demolished in 1916. The church is abandoned and for sale. Another comment suggests that after being used by other congregations, it has been abandoned and [as of 2023] is being considered for demolition.

This was, in fact, the sanctuary of the Jackson First Baptist Church. It was built in 1914 to replace the previous wooden church building which was built in 1890 on the adjacent lot and demolished in 1916.
This was the original First Baptist Church of Jackson which started meeting in the Methodist church across the street when it formed. In 1975, FBC built a new sanctuary, education building, and gym on the same street but about 3 miles to the West. Two other churches meet in this building but didn’t maintain it. It is falling in and is being considered for demolition.
