Abandoned two-story residential store with boarded windows, set in a rural environment.

You won’t find Aaron on most maps, but this structure is evidence of its past. It’s a general store with a residence above. Lara Pope writes: This was Ms. Mintori’s store. She did live above. I went there many times as a child, some 40 years ago. I do think that the train used to run by there.

    Thanks for the picture of Aaron Station. Been their once, my father a lots when he was growing up. This building was also in the movie Smokey & the Bandit.

    This store was open into the late 70’s. I lived nearby in Jenkins County and remember stopping in to get drinks and snacks.
