I made this film photograph in 2005 and the house was demolished by 2010. It was located just inside Irwin County on Evergreen Road.
Note: This replaces a post of the same house which was published on 16 May 2009.

Was that a Swanson family home?
I’m not sure Tom but it’s very near where some of them live/d.
Brian I’m a native Georgian. Born and raised in Atlanta. Part of a dying breed. Seems like most Atlantans are now from somewhere else. Our city has become a place of transient residents who have moved there for the weather, the economy and mostly likely, have been transferred with the likes of Delta, Home Depot, Mercedes Benz, UPS etc. your blog brings back to me the Georgia of my youth when I rode with my grandfather to our little farm..in what was once the countryside of Brooks Ga, and is now the suburbs of Atlanta. I so enjoy what you share with us. Please keep going 👍❤️
Thank you so much, Cynthia.
I just had to add a 2023 comment. Thank you for keeping these demolitions alive with your photos, Brian. It’s a priceless contribution to the history of Georgia.
