I believe this was an oil distributor’s warehouse/office.
First Corporate Office/Warehouse built and owned by Dixie Oil Company with 150 Gasoline and Convenience Food Stores located in Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Corporation started around 1948 by J. W. Lindsey and W. F. Lindsey. The first Gasoline Station was located across Hwy 41 from this building. The Corporate Headquarters was later moved to Tifton Georgia around 1958 and located on HWY 82 East. Around 2010 most all Properties were sold to a larger Corporation that owned 2000 Convenience Stores.
