The McConnell home is on Ga. Hwy 51 several miles outside Carnesville. The road is known as the Old Federal Road.
The house pictured is in downtown Carnesville. When I was growing up there in the ’50s, the house was owned by Mr. Ed McEntire.
The McConnell home stands empty now and will soon be in a state of deterioation.
I think thats my cousin’s house. Roger McConnell. I see it is just sitting there. I know it was suppose to be on the national registry. Is anyone doing anything with the house or property. Its a shame. It should be museum or something like an event hall. He was our historical speaker of the family. Stevenson Family. My mom Carolyn E. Stevenson Payne Fulghum. Thank you. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. Roger wouldn’t wood have let it get so bad looking.
