General Store, 1899, Rayle

This historic store building has been leaning for a long time, according to comments from residents of the area. It appears to be losing the battle with gravity, though.

This building is one of my route markers when I am traveling to my parents’ house in Augusta from my home in Clarkesville. I haven’t figured out how I am going to remember my way when it is gone.

Wow Brian! As an old real estate friend of mine would say “This one’s needs a little caulking!” And maybe some duct tape too! Thanks for the lesson on what happens when abandonment and gravity work together.
