My mother Lillian Jenkins and her siblings grew up in Midville and she was Betty’s aunt. I grew up visiting my g’mother there and knew all about the gas station.
Last known as CHOATES SERVICE CTR. owned by Betty (Knight) & Virgil Choates since the 1960s Closed in early 2023, Before that it was a Pure Oil Gas Station owned by JH Rowland and others dating bakc to 1930s.
