This simple Craftsman may be a vernacular version of the popular early-20th-century style. One resource states the date of construction at 1914, but notes that the house didn’t appear on the 1920 Sanborn Fire Insurance map of Albany. Therefore, the date of 1925 seems more accurate. It appears to have been used as apartments at one time, and its large size may indicate such a use from the time of construction. Another clue may be its proximity to the depot and railroad hub. I’ll update if I learn more.

As a child, my dad & family lived at 303 Society St. in Albany. Does that street exist there anymore? It doesn’t show up on current maps, but was listed as being sold in recent years.
They probably rented where they were staying.

I don’t know why you aren’t seeing them. I wish I knew. There are photos with the posts. They may not be showing in the email but they should be on the website.
