I rarely meet an old dirt road I don’t like, and this one, punctuated by a dairy silo, is no exception. Even on an otherwise gloomy day, there’s nothing that says Georgia any better to me. John B. Gay writes: This is my family’s farm! I’m the 4th generation to farm here. It was a dairy farm from the 50’s till 2018. Now I raise row crops, beef cows and hogs.

I’ve noticed the many dirt roads in your photos – and now I’m wondering if there are any state records that count the number of dirt roads in GA
I don’t know, John. But I’d be curious. I do know we have a lot more in South Georgia than they do in North Georgia.
Amen!
I don’t like the dust or the mud of dirt roads, being an old female, but nothing says country better, and I love country!

Thanks, John. I loved driving through there. Beautiful country!
