According to an architectural survey, Arrington Mill was built circa 1920, but a mill may have been operational here prior to that date. I’ve not been able to locate any history related to the site so far, other than the fact that it was also known as Fort Creek Mill, for the creek it’s located upon. It’s a very picturesque place but is on private property and can only be viewed from the roadside.
It would be good if you would provide the name of the road! I am transcribing labels from Herbarium collections and need to designate on a map where they were collected.
I live a couple miles from this place the hurricane in 2024 broke the damn and the pond is empty. Rather sad still a very cool place to drive by.

What a great capture of thus peaceful mill scene! I love the view to the back of the millpond and the summer green woods along its banks.
