Farmers’ Warehouse, Circa 1890, Norristown

When I photographed this landmark, it was already beginning to collapse. [As of 2018-2019, it is no longer standing].

It was likely the busiest place in Norristown during the harvest.

Besides its link to Norristown’s agricultural past, the warehouse was used for advertising. Two Coca-Cola murals adorned either side of the building.

My Grandmother and her siblings grow up not to far from this building. In fact my Great Aunt still stays down the street from here. We all gather at her home every year.
