
Established in 1875, the Homerville Methodists first met in the courthouse. Land for the church was donated by the railroad and through the contributions of Henry J. Peagler and others, the present structure was built. Sided with Georgia marble, it’s one of the nicest structures in Homerville.

I went to this church from 1943 as ababy til 1956 my dad’s funeral was held there
Mabel Dame taught us in Sunday School; she had all of us kids to call her Aunt Mabel. She was a wonderful sweet lady and I will never forget her.
I went to Sunday School and church in this church. It was right down from my house. Always enjoyed Vacation Bible School. When I was in High School, I kept the church nursery.

Ii remember her we used to sing JESUS LOVES ME she was a sweet lady. Diane Dow, Mona Smith, Beth Blitch,[before she was killed] me[mary Dickerson fitzgerald. my mother played the organ & piano I hope its still there, so many old buildings are being destoried
Yes, we had some good times at this church. Vacation Bible School was always such a fun time and learned a lot about the Bible. I started keeping the nursery when I was in high school. Loved my babies!
My husband’s cousin’s husband preached at this church awhile!~
