Mitchell House Hotel, 1886, Thomasville

While many towns and cities have lost their historic hotels, Thomasville is fortunate to retain the Mitchell House, a remnant of the 1880s tourist boom which helped make the city what it is today. A renovation was completed around 2009 which features street-level shops and restaurants, as well as luxury condominiums on the upper floors.

I was born and raised there, moved away about 33 years ago.
I go back every 2 years for a family reunion and I love to just ride around town and out in the country. I am getting ready for another trip in June, can’t wait.

There are other photos from Thomasville on the site, but yes, I had a grand time there the other day with my parents. It’s such a wonderful town, unique in all of South Georgia, I believe!
