W. J. Wren House, Wrens

This was originally the home of William John Wren (1858-1919), for whom the town of Wrens is named; it was subsequently purchased by Paul Kilpatrick & Ammie Lou Wiggins and operated for many years as the Colonial Inn, a hotel and boarding house. It remains a treasured local landmark.

Spence Norton writes: My father, Floyd L. Norton, brought this house in 1949 and it remains in his estate.

Hello Spence, it’s Charlene. Hope you are well. I often think of you and wonder how you are. I’m still a nurse. Getting close to retirement, but I just can’t see myself not doing what I love. Hope you are well and you have a prosperous and healthy Hew Year 2026.
