I first visited Warrenton in Autumn 2012 as the Project Photographer for the Fox Theatre Institute and made documentary images of the structure, including its abandoned interior. The community is presently restoring this local icon which will eventually anchor its historic downtown. The people of Warrenton were some of the nicest I’ve ever met in all my travels around Georgia and I was glad to return in 2013 for the Fox Theatre Revival Tour, showcasing progress that’s been made on the Knox.

The historic marquee and Art Deco entrance have already been restored.

I’m glad I was able to capture the original seats; they had such great character.

But my favorite part of the theatre was the projectionist’s booth, which looked as it probably did they last time a movie was shown there, decades ago.

Here’s a look at the poster used on the tour.
