I remember when the Episcopal church, the Church of Christ, and First Presbyterian were on the same block. There was an old two story between First Pres and the Church of Christ. This was in the 1970s.

The original site of St. James’ was at the southeast corner of Madison & Lafayette Streets. It was moved “across the street” circa 2000 to its present location at 306 N. Court Street. The Church was landlocked at its former location and was moved to accommodate the construction of a Parish Hall which is now located just to the north of the Church on N. Court Street.
