Cedar Grove Methodist Church, Wrightsville

Thanks to Deborah Brantley for the identification. Guy Singletary also notes that it closed about four years ago and that some of the members now attend Wrightsville United Methodist Church. Many thanks to David Frey, whose wife Deanne once attended this church, for the following interior shots he made in 2012.

This church is much like the one that I attended as a child. The Excelsior United Methodist was located near the Snipesville, Georgia crossroad in southwest Jeff Davis County. Regretfully, it does not exist as a Methodist today. It is now an independent church. It is a shame that so many traditional churches are closing.
