Built for use by a branch of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, Alma’s depot has played an integral role in the history of Bacon County. A local credit union, which later became the Alma Exchange Bank, was founded here in 1930 and was housed in the depot until 1939. Though some restoration has been done, the building is not being utilized today, as far as I can tell. Read more here.

You should come to Pelham, we have several great old buildings and as you said before they are torn down or fall down from neglect. If you come be sure to see the old mule barns that are still in town, some are in bad need of repair, one is a hardware store and one has been bought and remodeled as a home(red barn). Would love to see Pelham, Mitchell Co on your site.
Patricia, other than the Hand Trading Co., I haven’t photographed much of Pelham. I know the area well and should have more but I plan on being over there sometime later this summer. All suggestions, including the mule barns, are welcome.
