My name is Patricia and I have two cigar boxes full of letters written by Lily Jelks. Are they family members I can contact?

When I lived in Hawkinsville this house was Immaculate. The grounds were kept …. just a beautiful house.

This is I believe the 3d house owned by a member of the “Jelks” family you have posted Brian. Obviously they were movers ands shakers in Hawkinsville in the past. Do you know if any of the family is still in the area?

Some are in Macon, and others I believe area in Florida. Several generations of the Ways are still here and remain pillars of our community. We’ve been entrusted with the Jelks/Way/Stone house for the past eleven years!
Thank you so much, Brian, for all that you do to help us remember our valuable architectural heritage. You work is awesome!

We all moved to Macon. Just a few of us left. Very interested in the family history! Thank you.
