This eclectic Victorian is one of the most unique houses in the area. It was built by Marcus Edward Sperry (1838-1893), son of early Marshallville settler John Augustus Sperry (1814-1871). Marcus served as 1st Corporal in Co. E., 57th Georgia Infantry, during the Civil War. The house is said to have been designed by the builder’s wife, Euphaula Marshall Sperry. Mrs. Sperry was an artist.
