Queen Anne House, 1899, Americus

This is likely a design of the preeminent Victorian architect, George F. Barber.

I love George F. Barber architectural designs …I just went into Wikipedia to check his biography. I wanted to know what kind of man he was, but of course, just the facts were given, but it did say he often personalized designs and made modifications for individual clients, so I’m guessing he was a nice person.

My partner and I refurbished this house 20+ years ago! It was divided into 4 apartments and we restored it to a single family dwelling. So nice to see it photographed here. The interior is STUNNING! Even if I do say so… lol

We are going to see it next weekend.
It’s so pretty, but worried about how much work it needs.
Do you know anyone who can give us estimates?

I have always loved this house! Too bad the neighbouring streets are going to pot. The house itself was in need of repair last time I went by there.
