Does anyone know when North Cook Elementary was built and/or closed. There was marker near the road that named the school Lenox Elementary.
Lenox Elementary when I attended 1969-1973
I attended in the late 80’s and it was known as Lenox Elementary. Still have the report cards to prove it!
When I went to school at Lenox,1966-68,, the first thru eleventh grade was in the building. Seniors had to go to Sparks.
The school was not Lenox Elementary. The name of the school was North Cook Elementary. The gym wasn’t green at the time the school was in use. After the consolidation, the gym was used by the community. It was at this time it was painted.
Thanks. I’ll update.
When I attended in the early 1980s it was North Cook, but I seem to remember that it may have changed to Lenox Elementary in its waning days. Anyone else know?
