Lanier-Franklin-Deal House, Bulloch County

A two-story white farmhouse with black shutters and a metal roof, situated on a grassy field, with a green agricultural harvester parked next to it.

This Plantation Plain farmhouse, with Folk Victorian details, is part of Jeff Deal Farms. It was built by Lem Lanier. It was later owned by Joe Franklin and Emory Deal and family. Thanks to Kenneth Dixon for the history.

When I lived in Nevils, I never saw these fine homes. Dad was too busy teaching school and farming. The Great Depression didn’t leave much time for sightseeing!
