Dan Dixon House, 1930, Sapelo Island

Abandoned wooden house surrounded by tall trees and overgrown vegetation in a wooded area.

This gable front cottage, now abandoned, was the Hog Hummock home of Dan Dixon (1916-1987), a deacon of St. Luke Baptist Church and longtime employee of R. J. Reynolds and the Department of Natural Resources.
