I’ll ask my dad and other relatives. I’m related to all the Bells and others in the area. My uncle is Fulton Bell and my dad is William Bell. Give Webster County Tax Accessor a call. They are very helpful.
How long ago was this picture taken? Is this house on Poplar springs in Preston GA? I believe this home is my Great Grandmother and Grandmother’s home, left to my Mother
This house is across Hwy 41 from my parents home,
it has been left to fall in and has a huge bee colony under the floor.
Two sisters lived side by side Mrs Florrie McKinnon, and Mrs. Odell lived in this house when i was a child. She kept the yard beautiful with azaleas blooming and daylilies abundant around the house as well as huge plums in the back. She kept it pristine until she couldn’t anymore.
Thanks for sharing, Angela. I will identify at as the Odell House and share your story. I’m sure the sisters were wonderful ladies. It’s so sad to see places that were so loved and cared for in such a state of abandonment.

It was once a beautiful place, i can’t remember Mrs. Odell’s last name but her sister lived next door. Both were widows when i was a child/teenager.
