This was the smaller of two Martin theatres located in Fitzgerald. The other, the Grand, has been restored and serves as a community entertainment and movie venue today. The Pine has been repurposed as a retail space, but the Art Deco facade has been retained.

I well remember the Pine Theatre. Every Saturday was a Western movie either Roy Rogers or Gene Autry. I think the ticket price was around 10 cents,
Are you sure this is Fitzgerald GA? The Grand Theater in Fitzgerald, on Main Street, has been refurbished and is still in use.
This doesn’t look like anything I remember from Fitzgerald, recently as shown, or in the past when I was growing up.
Yes, this is Fitzgerald. I’ve lived here all my life…the Grand is grand! But the Pine was a theatre in the same era…it’s been refurbished, though not properly. It’s on Pine Street, right down from the old Hiers’ Jewelry Store, currently being used as a massage therapy center…thanks for looking.
Yes I remember the pine theatre. Although I remember going there only a few times, my most rememberal moments were at the Grand. All of us kids would go to the movies on Saturday and have the best time ever. that was when you could take 50 cent and pay your way in, by popcorn & a drink. I shared lots of good times there with my friends. Kinda makes the old heart hurt for those friends that are gone.
