Stephanie Miller notes that this store, on US Highway 441, was known as Browning’s Grocery in the 1970s. I have many Browning relatives in the area, so I should do more research.

This was Browning’s Grocery in the 1970’s.
This store sits just north of the intersection of Fountain Road and US 441 in southern Laurens county. Before Interstate 75 existed these stores served travelers venturing to Florida as well as local farming communities.
