This house is located about 200 yards north of the “Dogtrot” mentioned earlier. It’s on 441N about 5 – 6 miles from the courthouse. Look for the intersection of 441N and Blackshear Ferry Rd and you will be very close. To answer the question about the cemetery… Sorry… nothing but a generic subdivision across from this home. There was a business operated out of this house in the late 80’s or early 90’s called “The Grape-Nut House”. They sold pies, candies and decorations.
Very nice, but I do have a question for you, do you by any chance know where the farm house is located in Laurens, the reason why I ask is becouse my family lived in Laurens and the small house is still standing and is located across from the Smith/Hart cemetery, the family cemetery. I would really love to know. and if this is not it would there be any chance of getting a photo of the house. Thank you
I have really enjoyed your work. Thanks for sharing with all of us who grew up in the area but no longer live there. Every dirt road in Laurens County seems to have a shack like the one above.
One of the tenant houses on my farm followed this plan….it’s almost gone on…

This one looks like the one on 441 where there is a road that leads back to a large house called Lampp Lighter lane. But I’m not entirely sure.
I believe that is nearby, Allie…
OK thank you, I sent you an email did you by any chance recieve the information?
