Norristown, Georgia

Norristown was a busy place at one time. There were now fewer four stores, a post office, an agricultural warehouse, and a theatre in its heyday. Today, none are open, but what remains is one of the most intact “ghost towns” in all of South Georgia.

Update: As of 2023, I believe the unpainted store on the left is no longer standing.

    Jerry Von Wilson, you didn’t take a picture of the post office and convenience store,too bad you could not get one of the warehouse before it got in such bad shape. You don’t see many buildings like these still intact. These are part of a lot of people still living. Heritage, They all need an American flag flying over them..
