William Bealers House, Circa 1880, Darien

Among Darien’s most prominent citizens of the late 19th century were the residents of Vernon Square. This home was built in the late 1870s or early 1880s by William Bealers, a prominent timber merchant. It has been home to the Gale family for many years and is also known as the Bealers-Gale House.
