My daddy, Charles C. Smith Sr., ran this bank for years in the 1950s to 1970s.
I have a photo taken from the back side of the teller space in the 1950s. As a child I was allowed to enter the vault, and as a teenager I worked from time to time in the bank. My mother, Nell Smith, ran Smith Insurance Agency from a desk up front.

This building is currently undergoing renovation to become the new home of Brackish Beer Company later this year (2021).
