Historic Storefronts, Chester

Several historic commercial structures survive in downtown Chester.

They once served as banks, grocery stores, and other general retail purposes.

The dark grey portion was our only bank when I was there. The white portion, I think was a drug store. The unpainted brick building was a grocery store and short-order restaurant called Chester Food Mart during my teenage years. I understand long ago this building contained a movie theater and possibly at a separate time, apartments upstairs.
