Anne Chamlee photographed this abandoned Queen Anne house, just south of Tennille, in March 1991. I have also photographed a good bit in the area and haven’t encountered it. I’d love to get an identification if anyone remembers it. [Anne was unable to get a photograph of the front of the house, but these images give a good idea as to its size and layout.]

Update: Henry and Shirley Chapman write: The house in the photograph is the old Boatright House…Also, I thought the house might be gone, but Rachel Boatright confirmed that it is in fact still standing.

The house that was there at Walmart was the Henry Pickleseimer House that was moved to E. South Central Ave. in Tennille. A fence separates it from our property along the back.
The house in the photograph is the old Boatright House on the east of Tennille, GA on Boatright Rd. that runs between Highway 15 and Tennille. Mack Boatright, who is a descendent of the owners, lives close by on the road that turns toward Highway 15.
Actually this house is not torn down and is located on my husband’s family property
I don’t remember much about the Queen Anne house because I wasn’t born till ’93, but that was the house that sat on the corner of the old Walmart shopping center. They tore it down due to it being so dilapidated and falling in.
