He built it for his daughter who lived in the home for many decades with her life partner, Annie. Miss De Lorme was a pharmacist and owned Dariens first drug store. Annie was a school teacher for the Methodist church school at The Ridge. They are buried together in the De Lorme family plot at St. Andrews Cemetery at Ashantilly. The McQuaig family owned it much later on.

I kind of stumbled across this and would very much like any information on the McQuaig family. My grandmother was Eula Mae McQuaig and I believe she lived in Georgia for quite awhile. She was my dad’s mom, unfortunately I do not know much more than that.
Annie Knox and Jane Knox DeLorme were sisters. Check the census records.

Today, the home boasts 30 solar panels, installed by owner/electrical engineer Bryce Baumgartner.
