Thanks for sharing this, what a small world! I ran across this looking at a map while searching homes for sale in Newnan on Zillow. My family currently lives off Redwine Rd in Fayetteville (named after Redwine Family I am sure). I took a job working overseas and am currently living in the original Madras, India for two years! Madras, India was renamed Chennai in 1996. I had no idea there as a Madras, GA. I love that there is a connect between my home state and wonderful Chennai/Madras in south India!

Thanks for posting about Madras! My family and I moved to Madras a couple years ago. On our property was a feed and seed store that was torn down by the previous owners. Also, next to the store was a small Methodist church that has also been torn down (after it collapsed). We’ve been trying to find photos of both. Putting this out here in hopes someone may have some recollection of it. Thanks.
