Craftsman House, 1914, Sparta

This shingle-sided Craftsman sits on a high lot above Broad Street. It’s an unusual but nice example of the form.

Sistie Hudson here—I have always thought this could possibly be a Sears Roebuck House, as well as the now-gone Craftsman house(Olhman) in the opposite end of Broad Street. Both were built about the same time. A much older house stood on this lot before this was built. It was “rolled” to the opposite corner and restored.

Interesting home Brian. I would classify this an examples of the rarely seen ”Swiss Chalet Craftsman” style LOL!
