Del-Mar Motel, 1956, Valdosta
This Mid-Century Modern motel was opened in 1956 by David Steigman. It is still in business.
Lowndes County Courthouse, 1905, Valdosta
Designed by prolific architect Frank P. Milburn, Valdosta’s historic courthouse is one of the most beautiful in the state. It was built by contractor Algernon Blair and anchors the downtown historic district.

Martinizing Dry Cleaners Sign, Valdosta
This neon and bulb sign has been a landmark in the Castle Park Shopping Center for many years. I’m not sure if it’s still there. Martinizing dry cleaning dates to 1949 and this sign is probably from the 1950s.
