Kim Curry writes: The original name of this building was J. R. Curry Horse & Mule Exchange. It was owned by my husband’s grandfather. The building was later sold to James Bethea and became The Bethea Tractor and Implement Company.

This is a good example of the rare double-pen form which, while similar to the hall and parlor form, is distinguished by a wall in the middle separating two separate residences.
